Don Papa is inspired by Sugarlandia, a dangerous and seductive world where things are not quite as they seem and where time is surprisingly fluid. It is a beautiful place where your senses are heightened, and your mind is free. At the heart of its land, on Negros island, is the active volcano, Mount Kanlaon, where you can find sugar cane that thrives on its lush and fertile foothills. The old sugar mills on Negros island grind the noble cane, the original variety, to create the famous molasses, known locally as “Black Gold”. The molasses is then fermented for up to 4 days with a special yeast before being distilled in a column in the Bago Distillery. Finally, the rum is aged in oak barrels in the particularly hot and humid tropical climate of Sugarlandia.

Matured in the foothills of Mount Kanlaon, Don Papa 7 Year Old Rum is aged in ex-Bourbon and ex-Rioja American Oak casks for depth of flavour, before being blended to perfection by their Master Distiller.
