Muckle Flugga Single Malt Whisky is named after a small island in the Shetlands, Muckle Flugga's Single Malt bottling is a secret Speyside whisky that has been matured in first-fill sherry casks. Before being bottling, the whisky is taken up to the remote island for an additional year of maturation in the harsher, cold climate, in an unusual process they claim makes the whisky "over wintered".
